About a year ago I thought it would be a great idea to form a directory of all the writers on Digital Point – as you know there are many. So I started DigitalPointWriters.com. I also bought DigitalPointWriter.com to redirect.
The directory is dedicated to writers who are decent enough to have their own blog or byline – so not the cheap goofballs who don’t even know what a byline is.
I called it DigitalPointWriters.com for a time, but then switched to ewritersworld.com to avoid skirmishes with names until I was ready to fight them. (I have ewriterworld.com, too)
Long story short, the assholes banned me for having two accounts from the same IP address (my husband’s and my own – totally criminal) and I stopped the project.
Now all four domains are getting ready to expire and I’m over the brilliance of the brainstorm – don’t have time or energy to build it properly.
I know how much y’all love Digital Point, and thought I’d give you full crack at the whole package:
Domains:
Content:
You can have all content on the site including the listings and forms. All the writers listed are not the fly-by-night kind, so I’d wager every one of those listings are legit even a year later.
The sites are all hosted on GoDaddy. Currently three of the four are redirected to ewritersworld.com, but you can set them anyway you like or use them separately. Hell, I might even separate them at request. All four are set to expire in the next month as well.
Obviously this isn’t a huge market for sites, but I like y’all so I thought I’d give you first shot.
The sites are not monetized (yet) so no hard feelings if bids are low, but there is a ton of potential for this if someone wants to really put the idea to use.
Sale is Auction Style.
Minimum Bid: $50
Increments: $10
BIN: $400
Auction begins Now on 7/10/09 and ends Monday 7/13/09 at 10pm CST (Houston Time)
