I'm about to register my platform as an official company in Singapore and wanted to ask if anyone here has some experience with Singapore and has been there to do business (and solely to fuck cheap hookers. Well I'm interested in some suggestions for that as well, but lets focus on business for now :p)

Contacted rusvik

But anyways, does anyone have experience in doing business in Singapore?

Retail business i really great in singapore with many tourists shopping in shops and food business will be great.

Singapore seems like a good place to incorporate, but living there is another story. The place is basically a police state.

It's more like assisted living for banker nerds. Or a protected workshop for the same.

Bankers suck.

Hong Kong over Singapore every time for me.

Sounds like a really fun place to live.

First, the Important Stuff:
Cheap whores in Singapore? LOL. You can still find cheap pussy in Geylang, but it is of the brothel variety and as such overused...

Orchard Towers, Lucky Plaza and the like are filled with mostly mercenary, old, ugly, overpriced hookers looking for newbies to fleece. Still a fun place to take visitors to have a beer and a looksie.

Never did the KTV thing so can't speak to that.

You are better off getting on a plane and flying to Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, or Indonesia (or a ferry ride to Batam, Indonesia) over the weekend. Lots cheaper than a night out on the town in Singapore which can easily cost you 400-500 USD for booze and "entertainment".

The above is what a friend told me...

The Other Stuff:
I really enjoyed living in Singapore the 2.5 years I was there. While in Singapore I worked in biotech and law. So, I have zero experience with starting a business there.

I can say Singapore is a very easy place to live. Everything runs efficiently. People, for the most part, tend to follow more of a Western social etiquette (or as close as it gets in Asia). Singaporeans are nice. Although, there is a growing resent of "foreigh talent" - especially as the government continues to aggressively grow the economy. The food is FANTASTIC. It is really safe. The taxes are crazy low. Plus, Singapore is a major airline hub with quick, cheap transport to any place in the region of elsewhere.

Of all the places in Asia, why consider Singapore? Granted, you can hire skilled workers (who in my experience, have a tough time thinking creatively/outside of the box) for cheap, but just about everything else will be much more expensive there than just about anywhere else.

I understand the government under various initiatives offers cheap/free money to attract startups. That is what brought the biotech (American) company I worked for to Singpoare, which shut its doors after the cheap money dried up due to a weak talent pool and high operation costs in Singapore.

Lol hooker experts.

Misinformation. From the outside, it looks that most retailers are making money. However if you've been in SG long enough, you'll see that most shops will only last for 1-2 years max. It's because they are paying obscene rental.

Night clubs in Singapore IMO suck. Nonetheless, the (temporary - see below) closure of this night club does little to support your position.

Most businesses (Anywhere) fail in the first couple of years and judging from the comments on the page you linked to, the closure of this place comes as no surprise.

Plus, it is not clear the business has closed for good. Taken from the full article:

"We would like to clarify that the night club Avalon, located in the crystal pavilion at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, will be closing for renovations soon and will reopen its doors at a later stage."

She did not say if the club will retain the Avalon brand name when it relaunches.

And why would a place close if, as you say below, they were packed every night? If the product is priced appropriately you would expect the business to cover its costs and turn a profit, no?

There are still plenty of night clubs that have operated for ages going strong in Singapore.

Retail shops/malls are going up like wildfire in Singapore and most of these places are jam-packed. It is hard to say if the high foot traffic means high sales, but judging from the percent of the economy that comes from retail, they seem to be doing very well.

I always found it funny when telling Singaporeans that I had just come back from a vacation, because almost always their first questions were: 1) How was the food and 2) How was the shopping? Says a lot about Singapore :D

Celebrity nightclub brand Avalon closes after two years

Even Avalon which was always packed with people closes down after two years.

There are no prostitutes in Lucky Plaza. There are a few Pinoy bars there but it's mostly empty even on weekends.

If you want to have younger Asian pros, you should try Brix at Hyatt Hotel. Since they are in SG, of course they will price themselves higher than at home. Eastern European pros are mostly in MBS clubs like Pangaea, Ku De Ta, and Dom.

There are no prostitutes in Lucky Plaza? Who do you think is working in the Pinoy bars (hint: it rhymes with prostitutes)???

Brix has a really good band and it is funny watching dudes pick up the girls there - the same girls who work at Ipanema later in the evening...

I have seen some smoking hot girls over at the MBS/ Ku De Ta.
