I need to send out 3,000 emails today... i have the addresses in a database. I signed up for aweber but they have an idiotic policy that they first need to send out a confirmation e-mail which is just not gonna work for me. These emails have been collected over a 2 month period and sending out a confirmation email now will kill conversions.

Point me in the right direction, por favor.
 


If you use php list, make sure and remove the "powered by phplist" tag that auto generates in each email. Otherwise you will have a tough time seeing the inbox.
 
StreamSend sucks, their customer support is top of the bad. I just canceled my account with them after just a few day of signing up. I regret the mistake becuase they made me loose valuable days waiting for a responce from support I never recieved.

Sendstudio

I've installed Sendstudio, a hosted solution, for several clients this year and am now using it myself. Aweber is too bitchy. Plus you have access to source code in Sendstudio so you can do cool stuff ... I developed a script for one client that syncs his ecommerce database with a custom (hidden) field in the subscriber database so now he can send emails out to "all customers who did not buy X product and read my last email", etc.

A bit pricey at $280 and it's a per domain license, but what I did for my company was install it on a generic domain name and then power all of my lists from there. I can change the from fields, etc. the only way the subscriber sees the domain Sendstudio is hosted on is via the unsubscribe link. If you want to save on your install pm me, since I already own a license I can get you a discount.
