BST sellers not very good at deadlines?

Having dabbled a bit in the BST section, I can't say I am impressed. Every time until now, there have been long delays compared to what is promised. 1-4 days turn into 2 weeks. 10 days turn into a month. No communication and PMs go unanswered.

Is this the norm?

Yup, never had an issue that wasn't worked out. 99% of time shit was delivered on time or ahead of time. If something is time sensitive whether I get it through a BST or elsewhere, I always make a point of mentioning it ahead of time, and check in regularly just to make sure they are aware and as a reminder.

Most of the problems I see is both as a vendor of services and buyer, is when people needed shit done yesterday and have unrealistic deadlines and then if anything goes wrong they are screwed. They don't bother to follow up and then through a little hissy fit like a crazy 16yr old girl that just got her cellphone taken away.

I never throw hissy fits, if anything I am too nice.

I don't have a problem with people taking longer to deliver than they themselves promise, but I do have a problem with people sticking their head in the sand and not replying to contact. Maybe I should just be a douchebag and threathen Paypal reversal.

But good to know most experiences aren't like this. Maybe I'll try some of the more well known providers next time.

The older people, established of BST have good reputations for a reason.. Look at their iTrader %

I'm the quiet customer.

You dont perform, I dont return.

This is my philosophy as well. I don't bother kicking up a bitch fest, trying to school the provider, or demand a refund. I just walk away, and never give them a cent of my money again. Being a dick to them just wastes my time, and pisses them off -- doesn't accomplish anything at the end of the day.

Yeah, but a negative iTrader or something would help protect the rest of us too. Dialing back the passivity just a bit will help the entire community of good guys, such as yourselves.

I finally took the time to see what all the fuss is about so I tabbed up the first page of each section and browsed through it all systematically to gauge the most popular services on offer.

There wasn't as much diversity as I thought so I can only assume (probably incorrectly) that word of mouth plays a large part in promotions.

Also, love the bumps which go something like "Still taking orders...keep them coming!" which comes across as an attempt to imply lots of transactions rather than lots of desperation. ;)

Honestly, the bump system is bad.

You try posting something insightful and brilliant on the 8th day of your 4th thread for the same old shit you've been selling for 6 months.

I don't know, there's enough people around to do the negative bitching thing, so I don't worry about it. However, I always give positive feedback where warranted. For example, picked up a few themes on ThemeForest just recently, one of which I really liked, so they got a nice note from me in their comments section, which will hopefully bring them a few extra sales.

I can believe that. I think if I put as much effort into my sales copy as the average seller likely does when offering a service, I'd probably never want to write anything about it ever again.
