Broadcasting tv.. need help :)

I have come up with an idea of broadcasting a local tv channel to the internet. What I need now is to figure how to get the signal off the digital box and make it available as a video source on my pc. Anyone is familiar with the concept?! I'd appreciate any help!!!

Get a video capture card, set up a web/streaming media server on your local box and make it public.

Of course, if you don't have some kind of a deal with the tv station, you may get loved tenderly by them.
