I was thinking, I use to sell allot of high dollar items on Ebay and now that I am into affiliate marketing I find myself pushing allot of Ebay ads, so my idea is this,

Sell high dollar items on ebay, create an arbi type site/sites that promotes Ebay ads that point to the products your selling, its a win win situation, almost like giving yourself a little bonus, you get the conversion rate / % and you also get 100% of the final sale - product cost and ebay listing and sellers fees.

I dont think I will ever spend the time following through because I really have no interest in selling on Ebay again.

So has anyone else done this? If not it might be worth trying if you sell product on Ebay, could lead to some nice little bonuses.

Thats my brain fart for the day.

I dont have the time and I really dont feel like selling on Ebay again. Not at this point anyway.

This was just an idea that came to me while throwing back some beers, so I figured Id throw it out there.

You aren't allowed to advertise your own items as an affiliate. I've looked into it before.

One interesting thing I've seen people do is redirect domain names they are selling to pages full of ebay ads.

I've looked into this before as well.

From Ebay's affiliate TOS:

Nor may You use affiliate links to promote your own eBay listings or eBay Store, those of your Sub-Publisher or those of anyone else with whom you are affiliated.

They changed it back last month so you can now use affiliate links to your own auctions....
On March 8, 2007, eBay.comhttp://ebay.com/ is updating the Special Terms & Conditions. The new Special Terms & Conditions will only contain one change and that is in regards to item 5, Affiliate Links. The wording will read as follows:

5) Affiliate Links. You may use affiliate links to promote your listings or own eBay Store, those of your Agents or those of anyone else with whom you are affiliated. eBay may terminate this provision at any time with 7 days notice.
I wasted loads of time on a project in 2005 based on aff links to your own auctions - then the bastards changed it! (Recently resurrected - 2eb.co.uk - see my sig... it's a bit shit though!)

It shouldnt really matter as long as your pushing traffic and people are bidding, but I also see allot of other people have already thought of this, so I am a little slow on the draw, he he he he......
