Canada... eh!
I'm about to start a new website on dreamhost and they give 3 options for type in traffic,

1.Both www.site.com and http://site.com work (from what I understand this splits pagerank when people link to you or google sees it as two different sites.

2.Add www. if someone goes to http://site.com

3. Remove www. if someone goes to http://www.site.com

To the best of my knowledge there's no downsides to using the 3rd option, single site PR/Ranking in SERPs and smaller overall address. I just wanted to ask you guys if you had any opinion on this and which one you use?

Thanks

I always just 301 www to non www which would be option 3, pointless I know but www brings back flashbacks of windows 95, floppy drives, and compuserve.

Just not option 1

THe other two are your preference. I think non www looks more modern, Web 2.0ish
