I've got an hour or two a day that I've decided to devote to this project type thing. I don't really care if nothing happens with it, it's just something I've wanted to do for a while, and I decided to make a thread here for some sort of accountability so I don't just say fuck it after 2 days. I'm not really sure what I'm after here, except I know that I've half-ass tried and full-ass failed on a number of blogging type things before so maybe this is some last try at redemption, idk.
So anyway, the blog is about poker strategy. I've played low and midstakes NLHE online and live full-time and coached part-time for the past 2 and a half years, but soon I'll be getting out of it (at least full time) to finish school and move on with my life. I'm cheesing it up a bit with article titles and easy-to-digest content and such, but here's the plan.
1. The site is a blogger blog, because too often I've bought a domain and hosting and then less than 2 weeks later said fuck it and not done anything with it.
2. For each article I write on the blog, I write one on a similar topic for Ezinearticles, because I'm already platinum whatever status there and they'll publish my shit relatively quickly. Then I link to the individual article on the blogger blog, etc.
3. Youtube, because I don't know anything better to do and videos I've put up before for students of mine have gotten a lot of hits from random people that I didn't expect, so I figured I'd try it. I record a 2-3 minute presentation that I throw together which is basically a talking version of whatever the Ezine article was.
Right now I'm just putting up content and getting some links. Maybe later I'll worry about getting some money if I get some traffic, and I know how the affiliates work and all that. I might do some social bookmarking type stuff and posting to other article directories later if I don't say fuck it like every other time I start to do something like this.
I put the blog URL in my signature. If that's considered spammy or whatever then I'll change it. Good luck me.
