Ok.. I am pretty new to the idea of making money online..and I am trying to grasp all of the different things that people are doing. I was thinking earlier today after reading a post on cloaking.. and trying to understand how cloaking and other techniques are used.
So here is a example I worked out; tell me if I am making sense or if I am way off base.
You create a website that can easily generate traffic. Lets say a myspace resource site. With proper ad placement you can generate many clicks.. but due to the traffic and nature of the site.. the amount of revenue you generate from each click is somewhat low.. but you are still generating getting many clicks... which is the key.
Using Cloaking you rank your myspace site in a category that has a higher pay out.. loans?.. webhosting.. so that adsense starts to place those types of ads into your content. This sounded good at first to me.. but then I remembered something about smart pricing... and clicks coming from myspace are not going to generate good revenue from loans and webhosting ads because the traffic is not relevant.
So the solution that I came up for smart pricing is to create a bunch of 'funnel' websites that are related to the high paying keywords your cloaked website is being ranked for. Basically using hard redirects you push the myspace traffic through these 'funnel' websites and.. in a sense clean the traffic so that smart pricing will rank the traffic as more valuable.
So in conclusion..
The average user comes from a myspace bulletin looking for a layout.. and goes to a layout website with highly stealth/integrated advertisements.. and if nothing else.. gets the website that they were looking for.
Google sees traffic coming from a financial.. webhosting or whatever site and thinks that your website is of that type.. pays out a pretty penny.
This seems very fraudulent -- but is this what Blackhat is and are there people doing this? --
