Perhaps I should have posted this earlier, but today I applied to a couple CPA networks and I only got accepted to one. I applied to azoogleads, mport (are they the same company?), linkconnect, and CJ. The only company to accept me immediately was CJ. I applied to CJ by going to another company that uses them to manage their affiliate program, and I was redirected to CJ. For the other CPA networks, I signed up on their site directly. Was that a mistake? Should I try to join a CPA network through an advertiser's website? Also, my girlfriend joined linkconnect through true.com and got accepted right away.
Also, in case it matters, I didn't really have a relevant website to list when I signup. I did submit a site that gets some traffic but it is not in any way an affiliate marketing website. I found it strange when signing up that they would ask me for a website, since I am going to them to look for an affiliate program to join and then I will create the appropriate website. Do I not understand what they're looking for in an affiliate that's attempting to sign up?
