Some great under-the-radar albums came out last year. Feel free to add to this.

Waka Flocka fans need not apply.

Roc Marciano - Marcberg
His laid back (yet sinister) flow and minimal production won't be for everyone, but this is probably my favorite album from last year.

Skyzoo & Illmind - Live From the Tapedeck
Skyzoo has come a long way and has his own distinct style. Very dope.

Kno - Death is Certain
I <3 CunninLynguists and Kno does them proud on his solo album.

-----

Marco Polo & Ruste Juxx - The eXXecution
Ruste's not the most talented rapper out there, but he still has his moments. Plus Marco Polo can make any song badass.

Reflection Eternal - Revolutions per Minute
Talib Kweli + Hi-Tek production = pure awesomeness

EYYYY DAWG U HERD THAT NEW RICK ROSS ITS MAD FLY, YO

Cunninlynguists first two albums were great, then I don't know what happened. Chamillionaire has a lot of good mixtapes, but I wouldn't consider him underground.

'Pilot Talk' and 'Pilot Talk 2' by Curren$y were my two favorite underground hip-hop albums in 2010. 'Trunk Muzik 0-60' by YelaWolf was a strong contender too.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kvpSk8rjkc"]YouTube - Curren Examples (New july 13!!!)[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg8Zt9e_6Bg"]YouTube - Curren - Audio Dope 2 [OFFICIAL VIDEO][/ame]

And the new mixtape by Stalley, Lincoln Way Nights, even though it's a 2011 drop, is easily some of the best music I've heard from a new hip-hop artist in awhile.

other than that, hip-hop is still boring. I don't get sucked into the underground/mainstream shit, just looking for good tunes. I think the best release last year was probably Kanye's album, which wasn't all that awesome either. Other than that hip-hop's still bland as hell.
