Best place to stay for ASE 09?

This is my first ASE (and trip to NY as an adult) and I want some tips from anybody who's been or plans to go on where to stay. I know...its early but I feel like doin it now so why the hell not

Aren't they hosting it at the Hilton? Why can't you stay there?

Stay in Central Park with the dirt people. Much cheaper.

Stay at the same hotel the conference is. You can't go wrong with the Hilton.

i figured the hilton but i wanted to be sure...might have to look into the london for another trip tho...

Last year at ASE in Boston lots of us stayed at the Westin on the Waterfront, which was just a short walk from where the conference was being held. It was great, lots of meet ups and partys over there.

If you can get a better deal staying just a short distance away I say go for it.

Otherwise save the hassle, stay where the conference is.
