wordpress.org but it is a little buggy sometimes. Movable Type is good, and blogspot.com had my site indexed pretty well in Google.

i would agree that wordpress is a good bloging software, i have used it my self and i have installed for my friends who have also webservers that they run off of there computer and they think its great.

Go with Wordpress. It has a lot of plugins and themes, so you can tweak it in a million different ways.

I wouldn't recommend blogger unless you are hosting on your own domain. I wouldn't want to take the risk of my sites being deleted at Blogger's whim.

Always own the domain. Using services like Blogger just limits what you can do in the future.
