Long story short, I got banned from a forum which generated me a lot of income by freelancing! The ban was bull in the first place! I got banned for almost 7 months for bumping my own posts? WTF!

Anyway, I am sure they will recognize my ip if I register again, so is there anyway I can sneak back in there with a different username possibly? Like doing an ip cloak or something!

Maybe it's hopeless, but Iv'e been losing so much money by being banned!

Any help or comments would be appreciated!

disconnect your modem...

If your on a major broadband provider your modem will pick a random ip out of the pool, and unless they banned a whole ip range you wont be banned anymore.

DP? That's one of the few places I've seen ban instantly without warning for silly things like bumping threads...

shit, guess a lot of us had this happen:
You have been banned due to infractions.

Date the ban will be lifted: Oct 25th 2007, 12:05 pm

Reason: Bumping Thread
-------
We do not tolerate members bumping and deleting. A bump deleter automatically receives nine infraction points for bumping.

LOL, Bump Deleter

I can't believe I'm associating myself with you thread bumping scum. You all should be shot. Thread bumping is a serious offense. Die you bumping parasites! You're ruining all our forums you pieces of shit! Get off the fucking planet and munch on petrified dog shit for the rest of your pathetic lives.

you better hope to god you don't delete that shit or I'll have you bent fool

Holy crap! Bumping threads is a bannable offense? I know it can be annoying at times but damn! Methinks someone over there is using their banning powers as compensation for a lack of size somewhere.

Change your ISP and your computer and your all set again!

Typically changing the MAC Address of the Computer (or router) paired with your modem will change up your IP Address.

Go into your System bios and change the MAC Address of your NIC card.

Additionally, it is sometimes possible to change the MAC ID of your NIC card right in windows.

Try the following:

1. Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections
2. Right Click Local Area Connection (or whatever you have it named) and go to properties.
3. Click on Configure next to your Networking Controller.
4. On the new window click on the Advanced Tab.
5. Under the Properties List look for "Network Address"
6. With this property selected, Select the Value radio button the right and type in a New MAC Address.
7. Make sure you use the proper format when typing in your new MAC.

Now plug back up to your modem and power it on.

If you're using a router it's much easier. Just login and usually there is a setting to clone your MAC address (which you can often times alter).

Best of luck.

What a fuckin waste of time.... not sure if I'm talkin about the banning or the talking of it here...
