Hi all,
I wrote a plugin for Feedwordpress earlier on this week that attempts to get full article text from RSS feeds. In addition to that, it attempts to find an illustrative picture from the article, and if that fails it tries its luck with Google Images.
Installation is simple: set up Feedwordpress, then activiate this plugin. Every time Feedwordpress posts a new article from one of your feeds, ContentGrabber will step in and try to get the full article text.
As with any automated system, it's never going to be 100% successful: I'd say 50-75% of the time with RSS feeds from Google News, and at least 2/3s of the time with general blog articles. Images are mostly correct, but you can expect the odd bit of randomness.
Sample test blogs (excuse the themes, I haven't spent much time on these):
TweetingMachine Blog
Pop music news
Insurance news
Price is $10.
* Install on as many sites as you like
* Supports Wordpress 3.0 networks (untested on traditional Wordpress, but should work)
* Code is unencrypted and unobfuscated, you can see exactly what it does
* Tested on Linux and Windows servers

Am happy to give review copies to reputable members
