Article Database Script/CMS

Are there any good free/cheap article directory scripts that come with CMS? Although wordpress is nice... I would think an article directory would be great for focusing on a niche and writing various articles while allowing for categorization.

Any thoughts?

probably something that would be easy enough to create yourself if you knew how... I like how it isn't as 'automated' as an RSS scrapper, you have to do a little work, but it will still save you tons of time compared to if you wrote little articles yourself.

I am going to use it for my arb pages, and for creating posts in my forum...
