Anyone Watch Jungle Gold?

This is my new favorite show. Although, who knows how long it will last since the two guys completely failed and had to go back to Utah to get more investers to back them.

Damn interesting show though and I'm hoping there will be a season 2. What's funny is they barely know what they're doing and yet somehow people think it's a good idea to bankroll them. Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't get shot and killed at some point cause that's some dangerous shit they're doing. You'd probably be safer leaning overboard one of those Alaskan crab ships in a bad storm than dealing with all the sketchy characters in their line of business.

I watched a few mins of the show and its too staged. I watch gold rush and atleast that one isnt as staged.
 
You do realise that this show is fake right???

The actors were advertised for approx 4 months prior to the show running. Has been discussed and their bio's outted on reddit.

Gold Rush is pretty cool. Anyone watch that season 3 (I think it was season 3) finale live show? Todd hoffman looked like he was on coke and at the end he says for the new season they are down in south america LOL.
 
Fuck all these, there is only one true hilarious reality TV show with Virginia miners that needs subtitles hardcoded into the episodes because of their southern accents.

South America episodes started playing a few weeks ago. It has been 3 episodes of prospecting so far, one in Peru, one in Chile, and one back in Guyana for the second time.
 
Gold Rush, UFC, and American Pickers.

I watch no other TV shows, I fucking hate TV.

Both Gold Rush and American Pickers are walking a real fine line with their scripted bullshit, especially American Pickers. By next season I will probably have to give up on American Pickers, the scripted shit is getting really out of hand.
 
I enjoy Gold Rush, but these Jungle Gold guys are the dumbest mother fuckers on the planet. They've been in over their heads since day 1 and they think that all you need is hopes and dreams to strike it rich. Nevermind the fact that they've been taken advantage of by nearly every person they've met in Ghana. I'm looking forward to seeing them fail miserably (again) this season, this time with daddy-in-law's bankroll.

So Jungle Gold is fake but Gold Rush is real?

Maybe Discovery Channel is split testing to see which program, the fake or real one will do better in the ratings.

Well there's a difference between going out to Alaska and filming real mining operations and filming two idiot actors running around Africa filming scripted bullshit scenes.

Todd Hoffman use to work for a company I know well here ( he was a truck driver )

Yea I'm sure it is. You can tell Todd Hoffman is a total idiot who doesn't know shit about mining, but what what I was getting at was those guys actually go out there and mine and try to make money. Unlike jungle gold where most of the show is spent running around africa doing dumb scripted stuff like 'getting robbed at a roadblocks' or doing 'black market deals'.

Jungle Gold is def fake.

Gold Rush is about as real as you will find with "reality" TV shows. There is definitely scripted shit going on, but it's usually bearable.
