Anyone use Webgains

I found that there are some offers in Webgains with high payout, but I never heard it before. Just like to know if anyone using it and get pay on time?

I'm glad you're interested in us. I think there are a few UK affiliates here who know us such as Kieron Donoghue but generally you'll find we have a much bigger presence at a4uforum which is very UK focused (we're currently expaning into Europe but haven't reached the USA yet ;) )

In relation to payment we have two kinds of system for merchants:

prepay - the merchant has a balance in their account which they must keep topped up at all times. Once a transaction has left its recall period then you get paid on the next payment day (each Wednesday).

account - the merchant is issued monthly invoices and they have 30 days to settle them. Transactions are only paid to you once the invoice has been settled.

Naturally this means that for prepay merchants you get paid quicker. If there are any programs you are specifically interested in please let me know and I'll put you in touch with the relevant Account Manager so you can discuss it further.
 
I have used Webgains and so far have received 2 checks and another one should be on the way soon as I am currently up to £77.

They seem a good network and have some good merchants. I have always received my earnings on time as far as I know.

We're not a spin off from Leadgains! Who are they anyway? We've been around since 2004 and last year we were acquired by Ad Pepper Media who specialise in CPM and Lead Generation. As such we've received a lot of investment and have been able to expand into several European countries (the initial office is based in London).

We don't focus on one niche specifically and have merchants across the board. One thing to bear in mind is that UK networks are a lot more focused on what you would call Cost Per Sale rather than Cost Per Action. All our Account Managers are sector based and their contact details are as follows (email + MSN Messenger):

  • Emma Delaforce (emma AT webgains.com) is now handling the Healthcare, Books, Computers & Shopping sectors
  • Hero Grigoraki (hero AT webgains.com) focuses on Fashion, Accessories, Cosmetics & Food
  • Kier Marston (kier AT webgains.com) looks after Dating, Homeware Photo Printing & Entertainment (music, dvd, cd, games) programs
  • Ryan Gilbert (ryan AT webgains.com) manages the Telecommunications, Electronics, Travel & Sports Equipment sectors and
  • Sachin Thanki (sachin AT webgains.com) takes care of Gifts & Gadgets and Home & Garden merchants
What do we do that makes us different?

Tracking - All our tracking is custom built and supported by our inhouse development team. We don't use an off the shelf solution and our hosting is with Rackspace so our system is very reliable. We can track orders where the user has cookies blocked using several separate methods to ensure high conversion rates and minimal leakage.

Payment - Most of our programs are on 'prepay' where the merchant is contractually obliged to keep a positive balance in the account at all times. Once a transaction has been declared valid you get paid it on the next payment day (Wednesday)

Support - Our Account Management team is sector based so if you specialise in a certain industry you will be able to speak to an Account Manager who knows his stuff. We all deal with both affiliates and merchants at the same time, no speaking to one team who then have to speak to another. You contact me, I contact the merchant, I tell you their response. Simple. We are always happy to disucss custom requirements and go the extra mile. For instance we are always happy to discuss the following:
  • You want a custom voucher code for your site or a competition prize for your users
  • You have high quality traffic but don't feel the public CPA is worth your while. We can arrange a custom deal, we can pay you CPC on top of CPA and various hybrids of the two. If you have a large email list we'd be particuarly interested in speaking to you
  • You need a custom creative, a list of top sellers, whatever you need, we'll help arrange it for you.
You can contact an Account Manager by email, phone or MSN Messenger any time during the day and we also have a designated support mobile phone which receives an SMS every time a ticket is raised during out of hours. Typically though you will be able to find someone on MSN or email most of the time anyway (usually Hero!). Even if you don't want one on one communication you will be reguarly updated with news both via Webgains networks newsletters and merchant specific emails. We also have a blog where you can catch up on new promotions, new merchants etc. Each category can be subscribed to via RSS

Tools - We offer a very stable and well designed datafeed system. All categories are mapped to our own category tree to ensure consistency. We have several other interesting products such as our Ad Creator which lets you easily display products on your page in a content unit without needing to know any PHP etc. We even have a contextual element to this which automatically scans your page and displays appropriate products.
