I should also mention, that yes I know it is possible, but it's a huge pain in the ass and chances are not everything will work, so basically have fun with that. There is however always Ubuntu.

I have an EEE-PC for my wife, but never bothered to load up kallaway or such on it... she's fine with windows, and even though ubuntu would work well, she would just get very frustrated with it.

Supposibly Microsoft showed off a 1gz EEE-PC running Windows 7 smoothly.
