Anyone develop iOS/Android apps? Any AF/BH promo strategies?

Just curious, was wondering if anyone here developed for the app store. If so, have you tried any affiliate marketing / black hat techniques to promote it? Its a little different because of the closed app store ecosystem, but surely there must be some clever tricks.
