Any script clones of Brilliant Directories?

Does anyone know of a clone or script that knocks off Brilliant Directories?

They charge an arm and a leg monthly to use their software and I am looking for one similar that I can buy one time and use as much as I want and can customize if needed here and there.

Any ideas?

If it's just a directory listing site, have you looked at other possible freeware directory scripts?

yes but none are nearly as nice as Brilliant Directories

Crowd Vox can do this. I've used it for sites in the past and it's a decent piece of software.
