If you own any domains, you have probably received this. Basically they make up that another company in China is going to register your trademark (or just your domain) in .cn, .tw, .hk, etc.
Then they try to sell you those domains at high prices. I've never gone through the whole process, so they may actually give you the domain names and just have a dishonest sales process (not a total scam). But if you want .tw and .cn you can register them yourself much cheaper than these fake intellectual property protection organizations will charge you.
