I have a website where I used to have a books section and I manually updated the links in there. What a pain in the arse!

Is there a better way to do this? How should I best work with amazon? Do they have some kind of autoupdating option or a framed bookstore or something like that? Or are there any other scripts out there to turbo charge amazon commissions?

Thanks,

Jon

You might want to try using the amazon API to pull in books automatically.

Search here for mashup script which talks about a script to do this from 45n5.com

Jon hit up the amazon aStore feature. check it in your associates account. That should do what you want. they also have the widgets and other product content which you can use. If you need a hand let me know, i have good experience with amazon.

Peace.

Aj.

Thanks, looks like that will do the trick. I think I saw a script somewhere that helps you get a commission whatever they buy on amazon. Know anything about that?

Ha ha no worries jon, but you should know that when a visitor goes to amazon from your page, as long as you are using your amazon assoc links, you will get credited for whatever they buy within 24 hr period. Its all managed by cookies and is no secret script.

I have found some random shit people buy when coming from my links looking for something totally unrelated. Ie; toys -> karma sutra dvd,tea strainer, etc.

Just get your traffic and see what happens. Books are not the most profitable item on amazon thats for sure ;-)
