Amazon Affiliate Q



Different countries, different Amazon (e.g. Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.jp). Each only ships locally.
 
Okay so for the most part the Amazon.com affiliate program is only for Usa and Canada. I know as being Canadian I have both bought stuff from Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. My question now would be would you get a commission if a canadian bought from Amazon.ca if you were only signed up as an affiliate at Amazon.com ?

Another question: Does amazon allow affiliates to sign up for their affiliate program from different countries if they do not reside in that country? Based upon plugins that allow you to enter affilaite id's for each amazon country I am assuming yes?

And if so, Do you guys have an idea of the top countries that are buying from Amazon? My guess would be Usa, Canada, Uk, Australia, New Zealand?

Yes you can sign up in different countries. The hard part is the affilate pages and emails are all in native language. Google or Bing translate can help.

Yes, the important countries in the world that buy things ONLY speak English and all 4 million New Zealanders buy so much more Amazon stuff than say the 65 million people in France.
 
Thank ya for the info! I have signed up with France, U.K, Canada and Usa so far. The Canadian one seems to have to be approved first but it gave me full access to my dashboard.
 
This is just another shitty way for Amazon to pay affiliates even less commission than they already do. It's *all* Amazon, so why not just let affs create one account and it works for everywhere..?!

Based on my main site's primary traffic, I didn't bother getting an account for anywhere other than the US and Canada, but will probably register for the UK as well.

I also use to redirect my outbound aff links through geotargeting (Cnd clickers to amazon.ca, USA clickers to amazon.com) - and am sure that it was working in the beginning, but seems to have broken now...

So if anyone knows of an easy to use and solid, cheap (or free) geo script like that, post it here. thanks.
