So I didn't see this in the STS or affiliate section. I was fucking around Saturday and was listening to Leo Laporte on AM640. He was yappin about this. But although I could give a shit about people's computer going down, what he said about this was pretty fucking cool. He said this was a form of malware that didn't let the user know they were infected. In fact, what it did was implement more affiliate links and banner ads quietly without letting the person know they were infected. It was some Russian group that did this, and apparently they made millions of dollars from this.
