Alibaba.com caught committing fraud, surprise!



Yahoo owns about 40% of the Alibaba Group, which doesn’t expect it’s financial results to change because of the management issues. One of the most rapidly growing e-commerce sites in China, Alibaba.com’s third quarter net profit rose 55% to $366.1 million yuan ($55.7 million) in 2010. Alibaba.com shares fell 3.5% today to $16.68 yaun ($2.54) a share before the announcement.

Not surprising at all. Used to purchase a few things through there but many times the items looked better on the photo than what you actually received. I love how the sellers try to get everyone to pay Western Union and not PayPal, even the ones who say they accept PayPal try hard to avoid it.
 
I am importing a lot of goods from china and got several productions over there. Alibaba is getting worse every day. In the last 15 years there has only be one case of fraud with a chinese supplier. Since the last 3 years there are many fake companies listed just getting deposit payment and run.
 
I could never work out why they chose a name synonymous with theft. Especially one that due its nature and location was always going to battle for trust.

I think because ALibaba had a magic grotto full of amazing items and objects, kind of you can find everything on alibaba.com but with the latest news, it is definitely a horrible name for the brand.

Anyway everything from china sucks, I still can't believe that we relocated all our industries over there, they hold us by the nuts. Everything produced by them is a piece of crap anyway, except the iPhone :)

I prefer to pay more for something produced here, than a cheap piece of crap made in china

Actually Ford is ahead of a lot of foreign makers in terms of quality.
Their new cars over the last couple years are light years ahead of
what they used to offer.
