Which is better?

By keyword domain I mean something like keywordforsale.com not keyword.com (<---which would be sweet but highly unlikely)

By aged I mean anything over a year.

if it's for seo then aged is better, also we can 301 redirect it to a keyword domain later

Not looking for type ins, really. Looking more for SEO benefits.

EDIT: I like the idea of 301 to keyword domain from an aged domain. Or better yet build up the aged domain with content and links to the keyword domain?

He hit the nail on the head, don't think that you have to choose one or the other when you can do both :D

Btw Iamaslack-jawedloserwebmasterwithalongassdomainIhadfor5years.com is now available from me, BIN $10,000USD.

I tend to lean towards a keyword-rich domain, because its undeniable that Google places a lot of weight on the presence of keywords in the name. Just search for the terms you are competing for, and you'll see that many of the top results have keywords in the domain. However, I am also a fan of getting an aged domain, with pre-existing links, that (when it was live) had something in common with the topic of the site. For this, I usually look at TDNAM's listings.

From my own experience I suggest that keywordforsale.com is better. As practice shows, keywods included in domain have a positive impact on search engines, however, the domain age is also important for search engines, the older domain and more incoming links it has - the better. Anyway, if you implemented a poll for this post I would vote for Keyword Domain!
