I couldn't make it there this time but for those of you who did make it to Vegas please let us know how it was and provide some feedback? What was good? What sucked ass? Was it worth it to attend? Did you learn anything or network with anyone? Details details please...

the exhibit hall is like one giant pop-up ad that you can't get out of.

I'm hoping they post some videos as they have in the past - A few seminars seemed pretty interesting from my perspective (both affiliate & advertiser side).

the best part for me was hanging out in vegas outside of the conference with other peeps in the industry. that and watching john chow pump his fist in the air like a 7 foot retard blocking everyones view with his mc hammer haircut standing in the front row at the blue man group thing.

That's always the best part nicky that and the partying. I made a post about a rant I had this year. I think they should limit the number of networks that come I know that's how shawn makes his money, but geezus I started getting rude at the end cause I'd just been hammered so much. Every bar, elevator hallway I went to someone would ask what I and I'd say I'm an affiliate. And then I'd get pitched on why they want my traffic so they could make money off me. It got very annoying so much so I just put up a post on my blog about it. but all and all Shawn puts on a great show.

haha yeah smaxor i am with you on that one. This year I made the mistake of putting affiliate on my badge and i was bombarded by people trying to sell me. A guy in the elevator this morning was trying to convince me to promote his online cookie retail program...

But yes the conference was great and it was well worth it for me. I made some great contacts.

Well, next time you want to be left alone tell them you work for the IRS and no one will talk to you the rest of the evening :D

If you read my post I don't mind being approached a pitched. But for gods sake have a unique value proposition. I go to shows to make contacts and meet new people. My point was only that the affiliate network community is getting saturated and they're hiring more and more people that don't know what the hell affiliate marketing it. If you start a network make it unique and different if you're going to stand out in a crowd. You're not going to get affiliates that make good money with networks to move on to some other network just by trying to hard close them. Just my 2 cents.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the high-tech taxi-pimps with the portable DVD players to show their girls talents.

Anyone know who bought (or bid on) AromatherapyCandles.com? I've got a related domain with twice the search volume that I'm interested in selling.
