I've been having some trouble recently getting accepted into some more popular affiliate programs. But, it's not because of my traffic.

It's because I display some "adult ads" and some of my original content is considered "adult". It's not pornographic though. I have no nudity on my website and try to keep swearing to a minimum.

I've been denied from an endless list of affiliate programs including Azoogle, and most recently MaxBounty.

I'm looking for some affilate programs that really don't care about "R" rated content (for lack of a better description) and have an overall liberal policy when it comes to content.

The products I'm looking to promote are things my traffic would most likely click on... such as "Win a FREE PSP", "Take this survey", "Name this celebrity"... that type of bullshit.

Any suggestions?

Send me a link and I'll sign up under you. Thanks!

to be honest I am suprised AdSense hasn't booted you (weed + absinthe + AFF ads), I think you need to decide if you want a mainstream style site or one that is R+ rated.

if you go R+ rated might as well do porn memberships, pop-ups etc.

if you go mainstream then you have azoogle, copeac, maxbounty, adsense, etc.

edit - I still think you should change your site over to wordpress :batman:

I'm surprised Google hasn't booted me yet too. Haha.

This is why I'm asking for more "family friendly" ads so I can get rid of the other ads. But, since the weed, absinthe, and AFF ads are converting, I'm not getting rid of them just yet...

I don't want to go the porn route. If I ever did, I'd create a new site based around that. That being said, I've been trying to clean the site up lately (taking out swearing, not displaying google ads on the more sensitive content).

I've been thinking about Wordpress... but, I don't know. I kind of like my setup.

Well if Google boots you, your earnings and account are gone....

Unfortunately this is no inbetween with mainstream and R rated stuff

I'd say clean your site up and go the mainstream route

If I were you and in that position, I'd get on the phone directly with an AM or someone in the brass for the ad networks you are submitting applications for. Many times they will overlook it as "minor details" and still allow you into the program, but may also restrict you for only specific adult or R rated friendly content. Being rejected by an ad network is just their first line of defense because 99% of the people denied just move on, but the serious 1% that have the traffic and drive will call up or email someone and pursue it. That shows them you are serious and may have something of value to offer their advertisers. At least I would think so if I were them.

If google boots me, then they boot me and life goes on. There's not much I can do after that anyway. No tears will be shed here. I like linking and hosting questionable content and it seems to be working so far. Plus, I've seen sites FAR worse than mine with google ads.

Google ads are only like 5% of my overall earnings. In the event I get tossed, I won't be losing any sleep over it.

But, you do make some valid points and I am in the process of cleaning up the site the best I can without losing the overall meaning of it. Some content just had to go.

But, how do you run a site like mine AND make it family friendly? You can't. The bottom line... I like fight videos. I like shock videos. I like naked girls. I like booze. And I will continue to link to all of those things.

Thanks for the advice, Jon. Maybe I will have to phone this one in. MaxBounty had a lot of the kinds of ads that would convert with my traffic.
