Affiliate Program: 3rd party vs. add-on ?

I'm trying to add an Affiliate marketing program to my web site - what is better: 3rd party (ex: Zferral) or add-on to the web site (ex: Affiliate Plus by Magento)?

The web site is not ready yet, but it will be selling wine.

Any comments welcome - whoever has experience with Affiliate Marketing.
