has anyone been successful to market during the holidays? either selling physical goods via ebay or ecommerce or any digital products. Since some or more customers look to local stores to buy their christmas gifts and presents.

I want to try something with affiliates, but I do not see anything hopeful
just want to know anyones outcome tryin to market during the holidays has been successful(any marketing, selling physical or digital products etc)

Sure, there is plenty of money to be made online in this season.
  • No guy in his right mind wants to fight the crowds to buy in a store - so... look for what a guy might buy for others.
  • What about people that may have to drive hours to a mall? There is another opportunity.
  • What about people that want to buy something that is "out of season" - another opportunity.
  • One of my "hot sellers" does best in the summer, but gets a resurgence right around Christmas.
I hate selling on ebay just because it is a race to the bottom as far as profitability goes. Unless you have
  • seriously unique USP
  • tremendous purchasing power
  • great back-end sales
I'd fight it out online w/ affiliate sales and avoid the hassle
