I can't even login to AIM anymore unless I'm "invisible". As soon as I log on I get literally at least 4 aim's from different guys that I'm usually not in the mood to talk to.

How do you go about letting these people know that you don't want to be contacted every time you long in?

Happens to me a lot, but thing is I really appreciate it.

If they have an idea or a cool offer I'm always prepared to try it out.

I'm not saying that I don't appreciate it... I do but I kow wtf I'm gonna do. I don't need these guys hitting me up interrupt me through out the day and night.

And it's nothing against them, I know they have a job to do and they want to make more money, of course, who doesn't?

I guess, it's like... how do you tell them to back off a little bit?

its just traffic begging ignore it or develop a policy to deal with it.

I let all my AM's know that I don't accept traffic begging. If they're the first to let me know about a hot niche or offer and I build something for then they get all the traffic, or if I'm building a network and they help me find all the offers for it. They get all the traffic. There's no reason for another AM to help me get started on a niche only to have another network get the commissions because they randomly harassed me about it. Their job is to help you not take up your day.

You'll separate out the good AMs from the bad real quick that way.

Tell them to stop.

No, it's really not. Here's how I do it:

"If you beg for traffic again, I'm closing my account and will run elsewhere. When I'm ready to run with you all, I'll run with you all. Period"

It's not that hard man.
You don't worry about "burning bridges" with em?

There are a million networks to work with who would love to have your business. Plus, there are just as many managers out there as well who won't hound you. If you tell them to stop and they are dicks from then on, go above their heads and get a new AM. They are there to help you. Sure, they make money off of you, but they need to help you, not hinder you when you are trying to work on stuff.

I appreciate your responses but some of these guys I've pushed thousands of dollars with, I can't just tell them to fuck off... You know what I'm saying?

If it was just AM's off of random networks then ok, I could tell them to just wait and relax but many of the people who aim me are networks that I've done plenty of business with.

IDK... I'm just trying to get some ideas of how people in the same situation let these guys know to "chillax".

It's not like I don't want to talk to em anymore, I would just like to get on AIM without people messaging me and without hiding my status...

Well, then when they message you, politely say thanks for the heads up but I am really busy working on whatever. Or if they are asking about what you are running or if you want to do something new, just say I would like to take a look at those offers or niche but I am busy. Can you email me and we can touch base in a week?

Exactly, but them I'm leading them on, which is what I always do. And then It's never ending.

To be honest, the last few days I've just been completely ignoring their messages and I kind of feel like an ass for it.

For example, yesterday I was working on a site, working on code and shit and my wife was on the iPhone and telling me these people keep sending you AIM's.

IDK, it's just so annoying.

First, make sure you have it in your settings that it never shows when you are idle. Then when you get hit up in AIM and you don't feel like chatting, you can just ignore it. AM's won't know if you are away from your desk or ignoring them and no bridges will be burnt.

Hey thanks Steve. That's all pretty obvious though...
