I used to be in the online casino game back in the early 2000s with 888.com

Then paypal and search engines distanced themselves from online casinos after the SAFE Port Act

I am starting to see sites now bidding on "online casino" terms in adwords.

Interesting. Google is really strict about casino and gambling ads and so is facebook...I'd assume it would be very tough for affiliates or small time casino owners to get their ads up and running as opposed to huge casino companies.

Well google allows bidding on gambling terms on "Search network" only. Its not allowed on content and its been like this for ages. am not into the gambling niche myself but this surely is the most lucrative market and ever lasting.

You've been able to bid on gambling terms for over a year on the UK Google, once you've jumped through some application/policy hoops.
