Last summer I started buying many domains related to smileys, cursors, screensavers, ecards, etc. Many of them will expire soon & I don't know what to do with them: sell them or let them expire or maybe pick up the project again and work on my rankings! Especially, my smiley and cursor domains were ALL 1st page MSN Search by the end of 2005, but then dropped slowly in rankings. At the moment most of them receive ZERO traffic as well. Since the beginning of this year I didn't work on any of those domains, more or the less too busy with other projects!

I made below list of domains I own (total 58) including Page Rank and nr. of backlinks!

I am wondering if someone can give me suggestions or advice what to do with my domains:

- Is it worth to sell all of theml (this probably means that I first need to extend them which cost me also money, because they will expire soon and nobody is willing to buy domains which will expire soon I think!)? And what total price I can ask for all my domains together if someone might be interested? Etc.

- Besides that I would like to know what the value is of a PR 3 or 4 domain (smiley related)? What can I ask for a PR 3 or 4 domain in case I want to sell?

- Maybe you think it's a good idea to let my domains expire and don't waste money on extending them?

- Or you think that picking up those domains and try to boost rankings again might have potential? (Most of domains have already PR & backlinks!)

Any ideas, advice or suggestions is more then welcome!

Many thanks. :)

I would keep the high traffic ones and list the others for sale. There is not much point in letting something expire, might as well sell them

I always keep a stable on unused domains because I hear that Goog likes aged domains. You may want to do the same.

This morning I received offer from my friend who wants to pay $900 for 44 of my domains. I have to say that he owns a smileys network at the moment. I think $1000 would be a nice sale! :) I didn't make up my mind yet what to do with my domains. Maybe selling would be a good option, as I mentioned earlier I have too many plans for other stuff as well going on...

SOLD $1000

Remaining 14 domains I am also going to sell now. :D
Since I sold my domains today for a nice amount, I think that it was a good idea! Too many new projects going on right now as I said...

I made good cash for several months (by the end of last year) because of my MSN rankings, I never had much Yahoo or Google traffic though. And I think that when I want to target again MSN for smileys for example, I might be even more succesful buying new domains (read: faster being ranked 1st page) then optimizing my old ones. MSN likes new domains a lot! Well, this is how it was in the past... :)
