Sup ya'll

I've been asked to build a site for a friend and I need some help. It's a life advice site (where people get advice on relationships, work, etc, etc).

What he wants is a place where people can login/create an account with just a username, password and email and can then ask "the owner" a question. The "owner" would then receive a notification and then reply to this person.

It must be completely anonymous, so it would need as little details as possible about the user but the must be able to logon to a profile sort of page, where they can view there questions and answers as well as any general communication from the site.

Can anyone suggest a script or something that can do something like this?

Thanks!

cool thanks. i think it would prob work as a profile site, with basic details. so a user signs up, gets a (private) profile and then can get advice.

@glowleaf is it possible for people to create "profiles" with wordpress, or do something similar to what i just wrote?

Yes, they can make accounts. You can even make them "writers", meaning they can submit posts. You can set up wordpress to allow only registered users to comment. You can have all comments on the "need approval" queue. Basically, all you need. Just install wp and play with it until it does what you want.

Make sure the theme you will use has the "meta" section available, we all remove that part. Its the one with the login and signup buttons.

Sounds like it might fit well into a trimmed down social network script. I bookmarked a free one called "Dutch" at barnraiser.org but haven't tried it out yet. You could perhaps have the "owner" create individual networks based on advice topics that users can subscribe to and post their questions, etc. I believe their profile page would be fed all the updates to all their subscribed networks. Or maybe a Ning site might work.

yea, thats what ive realised i need now that i've thought about it more and got some feedback. i'll check out dutch, thanks man
