OH
What kind of CTR are people getting on their blogs with Adsense? The one I run does daily recaps of a morning radio show and it seems like the ads never really match up well with the content.

EDIT: CTR specific discussion is not allowed under Google's TOS. What changes have you made to your ads to increase your CTR?

I don't think that you can really judge your CTR if the ads aren't on target. Oh, and are we even supposed to talk about our CTR?
Is CTR off limits as well? I thought it was just earnings.

Yepp, ctr is off limits...

Let me reword the question. What changes to your blog's ad placement have increased the CTR?

Hmmm... Will try to talk about this without violating the TOS.

CTR seems to be pretty poor in a blog with very short, varied items. (Entertainment blog, just one line of blurb along a link) Adsense puts up the weirdest things. :D

Positive changes
  • Changing the ads to the high left
  • Changing to another blog engine with categories (adsense not getting as sidetracked in a category)
Still, CTR is not really stellar, but not sh.. either.

What morning radio show? Just out of curiosity.

Putting the adsense in with your content is the best suggestion I have, and blending the ads to look like the other links on your site. It would help to see the site though, might have better suggestions that way.
