ad pages that disappear

What do you think about those ad pages that disappear after a few seconds. You know the ones - pretty common on game sites, you click a link to a new page of some sort and you are intecepted with a full page ad. It says the ad will go away in 5 seconds or click here to go to the page you originally requested.

Do you think these work? Do you ever click on them?

So no one knows how to do this? Or has no knowledge of their effectiveness?
