Anyone have a recommendation for an accountant who is knowledgeable in moving/forming companies overseas, as well as understands at least the basis of online marketing?

Basically looking for the accounting equivalent of Aaron Kelly.

I have a lot of close IM friends who use GreenBack who also have a lot of offshore corps/banks. They advertise themselves as a US expat tax service, but I'm fairly certain they offer more. Never personally used them though.

I recently used expattaxprofessionals.com to submit my FBAR for me, and I was very impressed with their service and response time for everything.

For setting it up, I worked with the owner of FlagTheory. He "gets it" on multiple levels, but is not an accountant.

I know it's not exactly what you asked for, but thought the above info might help anyway.

Sounds as though you want a tax lawyer, not an accountant. Or both.

Possibly. I figured I'd look for an accountant because I'll need them to get more into specifics and probably file the returns for the companies anyway. But if you know any tax lawyers who have experience with this, please send them my way

Why don't you contact AK and see if he could recommend a peep or two.

I asked, he couldn't

Thanks, FlagTheory looks like exactly the kind of info I need. Did you already know the owner before working with him on this, or is this a service he offers?

I already knew the owner beforehand. He's set up a lot of corps for friends of mine. It is a service he offers.

I recommend looking into accountants or firms that specialize in international tax law and global business structuring. A good option might be Nomad Capitalist, which is known for helping entrepreneurs and digital marketers set up companies overseas while ensuring compliance with tax laws.

Additionally, you can explore firms like Anderson Advisors or Greenback Expat Tax Services, as they often work with online marketers and have expertise in cross-border taxation and corporate structuring.

If you're looking for a more personalized recommendation, consider reaching out to Aaron Kelly directly or someone in his network to get a referral for an accountant with a similar skill set.

Honestly, I don’t think this is super relevant to the person this post is aimed at. It feels way too advanced for what they might need right now. Not everyone is looking to set up an international structure or dive into cross-border taxation—it’s a bit far off, don’t you think? Also, this post was written back in 2014, and now it’s 2025—things have changed a lot since then. The advice might not even be applicable anymore.
