$18k USD a flight? would get my own plane for $18k a year and fly anywhere I want

LOL. Wondering if Singapore Airlines knocked off all their perks. For one of the most expensive luxury brands you'd think Givenchy can get the stitching right.

Was that $18k USD for the single seat or the double bed one (two merged into one)?

My thoughts are that it was for the single seat only and they just let him pose in that double bed shizzle. If so that would actually be $36k for the nice room if you were travelling alone.

Having travelled first class on several airlines I think $18k for that single seat room is way overpriced. You are basically paying for a door and a higher standard of food.

I think he said (read it yesterday cba checking) that there were only 3 people in Suites out of 18 so he could use what he wanted.

It's the single bed. You can use the adjacent room to get the double bet if its free. Imo it's a bit of a wate of money as well but he paid it with miles, which is somewhat worth it.

You have obviously never been on a private plane or jet. It would cost WAY over 18K in fuel alone to get to Singapore.

So much this. A 25 hour card from the likes of Netjets, for small jets, not even the good shit, is about $120k. And that doesn't include taxes, facility fees or fuel surcharges.

Maybe he means a Cessna or something that's $200/h.

I've flown business class a couple times but never paid for it and only once internationally. It sure made the suckiness of flying slightly less sucky. But honestly if I was in a little private 1st class room like that I would feel like a huge dork. And if I had actually paid for it I would be a supreme dork of dorks.
