Is it best to have a website for each product or can I have 1 website with multiple products in its niche.
Which do you think would be best?

Yes landing pages
I'm stuck on doing either a product review on each site or just having 1 site doing muitiple product reviews in its niche

I started out with a generic domain and ran everything off of it.
When I switched to domains related to each niche my conversions went up about 10%

Domain may not have a huge effect on conversion but it has a TREMENDOUS effect on CTR

reasons to use domain per offer: higher ctr, higher conversion (domain name is one of the most important conversions factors, after headline), targeting flexibility, spreading risk etc

reasons to use one domain for multiple offers: only if you merit from it in some way (example: comparison page) + laziness

other then that, spending ~10$ on a domain is worth it almost always

Test both out. That's the only way to figure it out. There is no definite answer, since it varies on many factors.

100% correct ^^^

Domain name rarely has much of an affect, and even in your example; 10% increase is not high enough to justify a hypotheses.

100% incorrect ^^^

We are talking about conversion rate here, nothing about CTR.

you should think about CTR as well as conversions. it doesn't do you a damn bit of good to convert high if you can't get people on the page.

That is understandable when looking at the overall picture, but when looking at each part independently, the domain name has little to no affect. I've ran high conversions on domains that don't even pertain to the niche I'm advertising.

Does a domain name affect the CTR, course it does; but conversion rate, not so much. At least not in my experiences.

If you talk about a bridge page, that's true.
If you expect your site to do more than just "redirect" traffic (ie collect a lead and especially make a sale), domain name is extremely important.

Yes, but that is totally different from what we are talking about here. Here, as you said, we are talking about a "bridge" page, in which our main goal is to get the visitor to click through to the offer page. The domain name matters with websites that actually have the goal of keeping the visitor on their page for as long as possible, and completing an action on their website, but not the case here.

...which reminds me something I've been thinking about lately: when working with lead-gen, is it "ok" (meaning do networks/merchants allow it) to just collect info on my domain and auto-submit it to the merchant's form? I think I saw a post about it around here, but never tried it out.

What you're talking about is pre-pop. Some advertisers allow it, some don't. You need to check with your affiliate manager. Either way, it doesn't auto-submit on the offer page. The visitor must still click the "submit" button and check in any boxes that need to be checked.

thanks
what about just sending collected info to the form submit url of the merchant (ie auto-submit)?

I would say a generic domain for each industry is good. That way you can use a common header / footer for say "health", "music" or whatever. Most importantly it will save you time.
