765 Homicides here 05/06 including the London bombings. Doubt the latest figures will be much higher. Some areas have high homicide rates for the population size but they are pretty much just certain areas of a few big cities.

My town has a population of about 600,000 and we have around 25 murders each year. I couldn't live in any of those high crime areas
