Hey gents, I'm hoping you can please size me up and give me some pointers. I have a background in graphic design, but I'm a total retard when it comes to programming. I don't know HTML and I'm all DERRR when SEO_Mike says "create a new MySQL database and user."
As per the thread topic, I'm a total newb to AM. I'm in the process of doing the 30DC. It doesn't seem to be very well liked over here, but their hold-your-hand approach is what I need to help me find my legs. If anyone has any suggestions for other hold-your-hand AM guides, please let me know.
I've been reading the sticky topics here and watching videos over at a4dhelp.com, and they really get me pumped. But I still find myself scratching my head at times, not understanding terms or not knowing how to do things that are very elementary to most of you.
I would love to jump in head first, wallet open. Like a lot of people, I learn best by doing and at this point I'm really tempted to try SEO_Mike's Auction2Post tutorial (even though I don't understand everything). But from what I've been reading I wonder if I should just take a step back from all of this and learn some basic HTML, PHP, and other valuable gibberish. I'm kind of hoping that I can just pick up on coding as needed as I go along. Any advice?
PS - Was there a continuation to the Get Started videos posted on a4dhelp.com?
