Linking directly to the affiliate page with adwords can be a tricky thing to master. QS is going to go to shit unless you have your keywords and CTR sorted.
I have found that a page that bypasses dodgy sales letters and goes straight to the checkout page - after a good pre sale works best.
I usually don't do anything more than a one pager... my quality score is always really good i.e. "great". Just make sure everything is relevant and use common sense and you should be fine.

Exactly - one pager, optimised for converting KW will push conversions in the right direction. I normally test a campaign by running ppc straight to the affiliate page. Once I get a feel for what converts in the KW stakes I build a page optimised for that KW and throw it up.
I then pull all KWs except those that directly relate to the theme of the LP. This normally boosts my conversions in a big way - takes a bit of investment at the front end though.
