Right now I have a VPS with knownhost which is managed but I used it for my business' so I would rather separate my affiliate marketing sites in some way.. What are some good hosts I can take a look at? How much of a difference is an unmanaged VPS?

When I go to get my affiliate link, I always see the SubID and I was wondering how does it work? do I have to enter anything to correctly use the subid or does it fill out the subid info automatically if I place &subid (or whatever the network uses) at the end of my links?
