You know when you see a wordpress blog and on one of the menu's there are links to various feeds you can add the site to. For example add this to del.iciou.us add this to my yahoo etc. Anyone know where the code or plug in for that is?

Wordpress has this thing called pings. What is that? I can't work out what it does. From an IT point of view I know what it is to ping an address but I'm not getting it with the wordpress version of it.
