NEW Facebook Ads

Just had an ad disapproved that was an exact copy of another that was approved. The only difference being the one that didn't get through was CPC :/.

Some quick Google searches show that other people are having the same prob (couple topics on Facebook itself), so I'm wondering if I should just wait a couple days and try again or if my CC is just banned (dunno if they even do that). Bummer too, was hoping to get going with Facebook after my exams were finished :|

Your CC is banned unfortunately. They are pretty much dicks about that. All three of mine are banned and I have no way of getting back on except getting ANOTHER new card.

That sucks. Can I just request a new CC number or how do I go about this? Guess I'll contact my bank in a few days :<

Yeah you can just go into your bank and they should set you up with a new card easy.

What caused me to get banned so much was international dating. Facebook really doesn't like when you have to cloak in a dating offer because of geo-redirects.

If you report it lost then you can get a new one.

If you're in the USA, an easier way is to buy reloadable prepaid credit cards which can be found at most check cashing places and discount big box stores. Most charge a monthly maintenance fee.
 
seems like facebook just decided to look at my paused ads and disapprove a few... happen to anybody else today?

Was this because you submitted an ad for approval or it came randomly?

I had an ad that wasn't even significant. Got about 175 clicks and spent about $8 and the ad was paused. Seems like they have notes on peoples accounts or something...

Bank of America is great when it comes this. You can open as many checking accounts as you want online, and they mail you a debit card for each new account within 7 days. Course you want to make sure you have the cash flow to not run on credit, but otherwise, it's convenient.

Instead of going through the hassle of going to your bank to request a new number every time you get one banned, just simply go out and get a couple pre-paid credit cards.

I'll look into it if I get banned again. Not sure if we can get pre-paid credit cards in the stores over here. Heading to the bank soon and hoping they won't ban me again anytime soon after that. Thanks for all the help everyone!

They said the image was irrelevant. It was a girls pic for a dating offer (no nudity/skin - only face). Btw I sent them a mail regarding this BS & they replied with "oh sorry that was disapproved by mistake". lol

The ad is now running again.
 
They added an account setting to tell them that you are an affiliate. Good idea or bad? I haven't touched this setting yet.

Oh fucking great.

Michael Spears: What is the point of this? I wrote my ad for my business. The only help I want from facebook is ensuring that the ad is shown to the people in the demographic that I requested.
Herb Cunningham: It helps Facebook set bid levels based on industry and therefore charge more. For example tourism bid levels will be higher.
