for those of you who don't know, Popeye's Chicken is a ghetto fried chicken chain... almost all of the Popeye's Chicken places are in ghetto areas, and very seldom do you see a Popeye's Chicken that's not in the ghetto... in fact, there are some theories that Popeye's Chicken works like a ghetto magnet, drawing in and turning an area to ghetto if it wasn't previously, sorta like an evil ghetto aura... it's mysterious stuff for sure...

they do have some pretty good chicken though, especially when you're really stoned... I like their spicy chicken, but it does tend to give me the shits something terrible...

They also have them on military bases worldwide - every now and then I get in the mood for popeyes but it's very infrequent. Mainly I'd go there because it was the only place on base that had sweet tea without raspberry nastiness in it.

Even if we all know thats not true.... they certainly seem to behave like it is.

I wouldn't be surprised if some folks thought their oven was just a place to stash pizza boxes and left over portions of popeye's chicken in the bucket.

One time a buddy of mine and I were approached by two seemingly homeless black men in Hollywood who asked us to spare some change, etc. We instead offered to buy them dinner at the Popeyes on Hollywood Blvd (which was like 10 ft away). They were pretty happy about it. So was I. I love terrible food.

What cracked me up was the lady in the 40,000 SUV pissed she could not buy chicken for dinner at a $3.00 discount. WTF, go to the grocery store and buy some thing healthy.
