Hey everybody,

This guy Canal 19, Cable Mas, Tele Plus & Radio Costa Rica 93 AM - Conectors just copied all my page, which is this one English <> Spanish glossary of connectors onto his site and published it! He didn't even give me credit for the content, he even copied the link I included on the page! How can someone be so idiot!

His website says he has a radio show and now this s.o.b. is gonna get sponsors for his radio show from my work???

What shall I do with him? Any hacker here? Any way to take that site down? Any mailbomber? Suggestions, p-l-e-a-s-e? I am so furious right now that I'm just willing to fly to Costa Rica and kick this guy's bu*t real hard.

Sh*t. I don't work for as**oles. Period. I want revenge.

contact him about it, and if that doesnt work and you dont hack then setup some link spamming campaign to help him build some links ;)

lol the best thing you can do about it right now is to freak out more and be a much larger spaz. Right now I'm questioning if you're qualified to be a proper content stolen victim.
Send a few panic emails to his hosting provider ranting on and on about profiting from your work for at least 3 pages. Really drag it out, make it out to be as if they're going to be millionaires off your work while you eat from the gutter. Misspell as much as possible to let them know you're upset because your normal writing is so good. Spend all night calling the phone number listed on the whois, even if its wrong. Leave hundreds of messages throughout the night gradually progressing from an angry serious tone to sounding like Animal from the Muppets. Lastly, cry a lot! As much as you can. Don't just cry to his hosting provider, cry to his hosting providers provider. Then cry to his hosting providers providers fiber provider. Do a tracert and complain to all 45 hops. NEVER forget to threaten legal action against each and every advertiser.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!
Go to as many forums as you can and complain about it giving them a backlink so their content will outrank yours. That'll just make your crisis all the more important.

OK, guys, I'm taking easier now... I sent the guy an e-mail through his contact form. Let's see what he replies.

In the meantime, I'll go to a Costa Rica group on Facebook and see if I can get someting there.

As for this ^^. OK, Deliguy, that's a valid doubt. Let me tell you how I do Heptagrama To make that list, I got a few books and typed the whole list by myself. I didn't copy-pasted it from anywhere else. When I finished, I asked a translator friend of mine to check it out before publishing it. When she said it was OK, I posted it online.

He didn't do anything but copy-pasted it. :repuke:

Yes, John, except for the ones on the art section (which are provided by the artists themselves), I usually carry out a small research, make a summary, ask a professional to review it and publish it.

I also do the design, Internet marketing and type the RSS feed manually. Graphs are basically from Flickr, using creative commons licenses. The site is not perfect, but it is improving little by little.

It's like Tedel versus the Wikipedia, but I have fun doing it. :)

Which reminds me. The e-mail worked:

"Dear Jorge ,

May I have your permission to use your page for the benefit of the students?? This program is directed to the population that has few economic resources.

The pages of internet here are always crashing and disappearing and we have a link to your page

The page is being removed, but it is an excellent educational tool for us.

Your permission would be appreciated
Thanks
Gary"

After this, I gave him the permission. He's working with poor people, anyway. I can't be that mean.

He just has to attribute you, and he's fine.

The point is that he attributed me after all this. Now things are fine. I consider this over. Bye, dudes.

So is your name pronounced George or Whore-hey?

PS - Eli, that was one of your greatest posts ever. I nearly choked on my water reading that.
