I don't even know what to comment on such a video.....just watch how Fedex delivers computer monitors.

Wow, that really pisses me off. If I was working with fragile goods, I would have placed it down gently.. even if I didn't know what was in the box.

Just by placing the box down rather than throwing it, he might have been 5-10 seconds late for his next drop off but that shouldn't matter.

Karma people...

Here's what the owner of the computer monitor said:

Here is a video of my monitor being "delivered". The sad part is that I was home at the time with the front door wide open. All he would have had to do was ring the bell on the gate. Now I have to return my monitor since it is broken.

When I was in college, one of the guys in my course worked at a Fed Ex sorting facility. He would tell me how badly they would handle packages, and they really didn't care. But yeah, every company has their bad apples.

To play devil's advocate, I bet if that driver complained to corporate that they were giving him too many deliveries in a day, and he simply didn't have time to do them all properly, corporate would tell him to find or a way or find a new job.

probably a disgrunteled guy who went to college and has £150K worth of debt, had high hopes but now is working as a fedex driver. Saw a guy with a big house and thought, what a rich bastard, probably a banker, I know...

btw I don't beleive the gate was wide open, those look like swinging gates to me and not that ones that slide into the fence type. It doesnt make sense for the guy to throw it over the fence, when he could throw it through the gates.. Not saying the guy is right here, just playing devils advocate.. the video guy is probably lying about that

Popular mechanics did a test with FedEx, UPS, and the USPS by mailing a bunch of accelerometers around

Best quote from the article:
One disheartening result was that our package received more abuse when marked "Fragile" or "This Side Up." The carriers flipped the package more, and it registered above-average acceleration spikes during trips for which we requested careful treatment.

check out the related videos on youtube, there's a lot of them, most people dont have cctv on their porch so you wouldn't catch them. I bet it happens a lot.

who cares - videos like this is just going to make delivery people more angry/passive agressive (they are throwing the boxes because they are angry, they are angry because they hate their job) and instead of tossing a few well packed boxes padded with a foot of styrophome they will be sticking it with pins and knives whilst in the back of the truck.

yall r surprised?

i worked in the UPS factory P/T while i was in high school i used to shake every package that came by to hear if their were pills in them. if there were i would go in the back rip the package open and if the pills were "good" id keep them, if not i would tape it back.

thats not even the worst part i would see people playing box hockey with the boxes as well as just plain beating the shit out of boxes for fun.

aren't you supposed to be at home and sign something before receiving the package from FedEx?

meh, looked properly packaged so what was inside most likely didn't take damage.

>Now I have to return my monitor since it is broken.

Oh well, delivery guy is a fucktard for not throwing it properly

plus the guy lives in a mansion so boooo hooo

i watched it again, its fucking hilarious as the guy walks out the car you think he's proper straight, and looks like just like every other normal delivery, and then he picks up the box, so nonchalant and just chucks it like a boss, then he walks back and you realise, he hates his life, and if he hadn't thrown the box over the fence he probably would have thrown himself over a cliff.

the epitome of a hater right there

..they are throwing the boxes because they are angry, they are angry because they hate their job..

..he hates his life, and if he hadn't thrown the box over the fence he probably would have thrown himself over a cliff.

^What they said.

At first I was mad at the guy, but then I read the above posts and I was like LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL HIT THE SPOT.

To be fair though, to a great extent it's the responsibility of the sender to package whatever it is they're sending so that it can handle abuse, and to not ship super-important items in the first place.

I doubt the monitor broke.

People are never going to give a shit about your shit as much as you give a shit about your shit.

I love how people imply that since a person appears to be rich that they, or their property, deserve no respect.

"Oh well, he can afford to buy a thousand more so no big deal..."
