Dr. Paul DESTROYS Rick Perry in New Ad

Response:
Responding to the Paul ad, a source close to the Perry campaign points out that Perry was a conservative Democrat at the time, and Gore, then a senator from Tennessee, was considered the most conservative of all the candidates running for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination.

And the campaign itself put out a statement Tuesday afternoon saying "Rep. Ron Paul's newly released attack ad refers to the congressman as, 'the one who stood with Reagan.' But his 1987 letter announcing his resignation from the Republican Party indicates Reagan drove him from the party."

The Perry campaign email release includes Paul's resignation letter. Paul ran for president in 1988 as a libertarian.

Ronald Reagan turned out to be a terrible president in terms of debt, and socializing the upper class. When conservatives talk about Reagan and how good he was, it makes be cringe. He was one big liberal just like Bush, was.

This ad is smartly done, indeed. Touches all the right places, from great comparisons to a healthy dose of national sentiment.

Clever people those producers. Knowing how the job is done.

i seriously doubt it. Bush sucked, but al gore is a complete dipshit too.

There was the little matter of the wars we got into, Iraq 800 billion dollars, Afghanistan 450 Billion dollars. These were Bush II's wars, Gore would not have gotten us into these wars and NO ONE is as big of a dumb ass as Bush II. If he were half the man his dad was he would have been a decent president.

Nodding firmly. Good with the math too. Until this very day the US keep spending billions on a daily basis for military.

How do you justify NOT following the Constitution? That should be the title of the NEXT ad.

Would pretty much let him every single other candidate from both parties look like fools.

On paper... Not So Good
On the Screen .... Great
What Reagan did was to get us to believe in ourselves, which got things rolling. What we see now in government, is bickering and back stabbing that is designed to undermine the other side and preserve their own jobs by making the other sides policies fail - which ultimately undermines the success of this country, both because nothing gets done AND because we, as a country, do have no faith in our political leaders or ourselves.

Sadly, Al Gore instead of Bush and this country would be in a whole different playing field.

Not really. During the election between Gore/Bush, Bush was more isolationist than Gore. Any president (except for somebody like Ron Paul), would've gone to war after 9/11 because it was the politically popular move.

We would've been in the same situation, except Fox News would be anti-war, and MSNBC would be pro-war.

Yes. And it demonstrates the delusion of the populace.

The Free Market: The Sad Legacy of Ronald Reagan

This is one of the reasons I have such little faith in - and not a little disdain for - voters. Most are like children. Give them a sparkly thing or a piece of candy, and you have their vote.

You can't say that because no one knows. As Cardine was saying, Bush actually ran his 2000 campaign on "we need to leave other countries alone." Gore on the other hand was much more aggressive. He probably would have done the same shit Clinton was doing, which is bomb the shit out of some brown people and maybe some white people too. He also was much more anti gun and anti civil liberty after serving with Clinton than Bush was.

Im a Ron Paul supporter, but John Huntsmen also actually a good candidate with a very good track level as governor. Way better then Perry, and Romney.

And his tax plan actually closes all the loopholes and special interest crap plus its realistic. Hopefully he gets some traction soon.

You Reagan-worshipping phaggots on here simply have no clue whatsoever. Anyone in that office, ANYONE AT ALL, (Perhaps even Ron Paul!) will do the "politically correct" thing at the time that it appears that the populace wants them to do.

Anything else is political suicide, so the bottom line is that all presidents are basically slaves to the media & the brainwashed masses with no will of their own.

Dr. Paul's got us all excited because he's running on a platform of blatant disrespect for all of this. However if he wants to keep that office a 2nd term, (and makes it past his own assassination) he's going to have to turn into another Reagan/Clinton/Bush/Obama clone just like everyone else before him.

(Unless he does something crazy like tracking down those in power and removing them from it...)

Ron Paul would not compromise - he never has. He has always done the politically unpopular thing and that wouldn't change. However, if he ever looked like he had a real chance at winning he would die of a CIA-induced heart attack. They don't shoot people anymore because it's too obvious and messy.
I believe you and I got off to a bad start. You aren't as stupid as you came across in that AnCap thread last week.

So, if the OP's title predition is true and we see RP advance to claim the Repug nomination, how long do you think it will take for this 'heart attack' to happen?

ITT people forgetting Bush was the most retarded president America has ever seen. bush/gore same duh bro..pffft.sfsf.. soooooo confident..dsklfjskl...head explodes! looks like the ad will work!
